Holidays in „Völs am Schlern“ at the foot
of the Dolomites.

Völs am Schlern lies at 900 metres above sea level on the Schlern plateau, only thirty minutes driving distance from the South Tyrolean provincial capital of Bozen.
The village with its 3,500 inhabitants has mainly preserved its original character. Here you will not only find peace and relaxation, but also the traditional South Tyrolean lifestyle: small village shops, typical South Tyrolean dishes and annual events like the „Oswald von Wolkenstein riding tournament“ in June or the „Kirchtag“ (parish fair) in Völs that always takes place on the 15th August.

Our holiday farm lies in the midst of meadows and fields and is only a five minutes‘ walk from the historical centre of Völs. The unique panoramic view stretches from Mount Schlern in the East to the Rittner Horn (a mountain peak) in the North, the Mendel (a mountain chain) in the West and the Tschafon (another famous mountain) in the South.

Especially children enjoy the two or three calves, chickens, cats, the two mallard ducks and the dwarf rabbit living on our farm. Since April 2019 Sanny, our dog, is part of the family. She always feels happy when other dogs are staying at our farm as she is a very playful dog.

We, the Spitaler family, are looking forward to meeting you in person.
